- If you use the "Call Now" feature, we log that a call was initiated (no audio is recorded).
- If you submit a business listing, we collect your business name, phone number, email address, and service area.

- Standard server logs including IP address, browser type, referring URLs, and pages viewed.
- We use Vercel Analytics for aggregate, anonymized traffic data. No individual user profiles are created.
- A hashed (one-way) version of your IP address is stored with lead submissions for spam prevention.
2. How We Use Your Information
- To transmit your quote request to the commercial refrigeration technician you selected.
- To send you a confirmation of your request (we do not send marketing emails without your consent).
- To operate, maintain, and improve the ColdFix directory.
- To detect and prevent fraudulent or abusive use of the site.
3. How We Share Your Information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only in these limited circumstances:
- With the technician you contact. When you submit a quote request, your name, phone, email, and repair description are forwarded to the technician's business email. This is the core function of the service.
- Service providers. We use Supabase (database), Vercel (hosting), and Resend (transactional email). Each is contractually bound to protect your data and not use it for their own purposes.
- Legal compliance. We may disclose information if required by law, court order, or to protect the rights and safety of our users.
4. Data Retention
Quote request data is retained for up to 12 months and then deleted or anonymized. Business listing data is retained as long as the listing is active. You may request deletion of your data at any time by contacting us at the address below.
5. Cookies
ColdFix does not use advertising cookies or third-party tracking pixels. The site uses only functional browser storage (localStorage/sessionStorage) for UI state such as filter preferences. No cross-site tracking occurs.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have the right to:
- Access the personal data we hold about you
- Request correction of inaccurate data
- Request deletion of your data
- Object to or restrict our processing of your data
